Mother to Mother Doula Services came into practice in 1997. My
dream was to care for and guide families through the beautiful
journey of childbirth. This developed after my husband John
and I had a doula support us during the birth of our second baby
in 1995.
Mother to Mother has grown to what has now become Central
New Jersey’s Premier Doula Service. One of my most important
goals for Mother to Mother Is to provide "Personalized
Professional Care to all of my birthing Families." I have a true
passion for birth and love passing that passion on to all my
couples.
A great amount of time spent with my families has enabled me
to develop a special bond prior to labor. This in turn makes the
birthing mother feel a sense of peace and safety which allows
her to be in a more relaxed state both physically and mentally.
My Couples are pleased knowing they have a “special woman”
trained to be with them throughout labor. My job is not to take
the place of the partner, but to make the partner feel more
relaxed. By being more relaxed, the birth partner can tend to
the birthing mom in a way he feels comfortable. I am certified
with DONA International, the oldest and largest international
doula organization which was founded and continues to be
nurtured by the world’s foremost experts on doula care.
