Mother to Mother Doula Services

My most important focus over the past ten years has been the ability to
provide "Personalized Professional Care" to all my clients. I have
achieved this by providing private childbirth classes to all of my couples in
the comfort of my home. The size of the classes are small so that the focus is
on you, your needs, and the needs of your partner. Couples are better able
to communicate with me and amongst themselves in an environment that
is comfortable, warm, and safe.

History of birth
Developing confidence in yourself and in the birth process
Emotions and The Fears-Tension-Pain Cycle
Creating birth memories that will last a life time
Birth preferences
Communication and negotiation skills
Signs and stages of labor

Along with the topics listed above, couples will learn the Six Care
Practices that Promote Normal Birth.

Labor begins on it's own
Freedom of movement throughout labor
Continuous labor support
No routine interventions
Non-supine positions for labor
NO separation of mother and baby after birth

Couples participate with hands on activities learning and practicing many
comfort measures and techniques that they will use in labor such as:

Relaxation
Positions for labor and birth
Use of the birth ball
Use of hot and cold
Breathing
Message techniques

These are just some of the many things couples do in my
childbirth class.
